I study climate sciences because I am fascinated by the Earth system as a whole and because I want to contribute to a better understanding of the Earth climate and its impact on human societies in the future.
My research focus is on the synoptic atmospheric characterisation of flood events in Switzerland during the last 150 years.
Before studying climate sciences I did a MSc in Atmospheric and Climate Sciences at ETH Zurich (2011).
I am writing my Ph.D. thesis entitled "Atmospheric precursors to flood events in Switzerland" at the Institute of Geography, University of Bern supervised by Prof. Dr. Olivia Romppainen-Martius.
